Australian Golf Fly

Australia’s long-standing record of producing world-class golfers is due in no small measure to the unrelenting work of the Australian fly.

As anyone who has played golf or tried to coach a golfer or is married to a golfer will attest, ‘golf is a mental game’ and remaining focused throughout an entire 18-hole round is about as difficult as trying to concentrate hard for a whole Academy Award winner’s acceptance speech, no matter how brief.

That’s right, it's virtually impossible.

Unless you had to learn to play golf while being tormented by flies.

If you can learn to putt well while having several insects try to drink the moisture from your eyes and brow.

And if you can drive accurately as a fly crawls into one of your nostrils or ears.

Then you’re well on your way to developing the concentration-power needed to play golf or become an air traffic controller.

Or do both.
