Australian Snow Fly

Iceland has never produced an Olympic sprint champion.

Neither has Greenland.

This may be explained by the uncommonly sluggish Australian Snow Fly which only survives in the Australian Alps and in the dairy section of some supermarkets.

Like Laplanders and Alaskans, it would rather trudge than walk.

And if the choice is entirely its own, it would always prefer to just sit and shiver and complain.

Or die.

It is a miserable creature, not simply because it makes moss and Tasmanians appear dynamic.

The unfortunate Snow Fly is discriminated against on the basis of its unusual colour (or possibly because it is so depressed and depressing).

Although genetically compatible and technically able a black fly will very, very seldom mate with a Snow Fly.

And if they do, the black fly never tells anyone about it.

Unless It’s essential to do so in order to claim the payout on a bet.
